Haines Elementary School is in the Chinatown/Armour Square Neighborhood. It is known for its preschool program among its many other successes.
Mark Sheridan Academy is a Math & Science Magnet Elementary School in the Bridgeport Neighborhood. The former assistant principal is now the principal there. Congrats to Principal Nessner!
This is James Ward Elementary School (JWES). It's a neighborhood public school in the Armour Square Neighborhood. This year is it's 150th Anniversary which the school's community will be celebrating! Mr. Perez, the current principal, is the 16th principal at JWES. I served as the chairperson on the Local School Council that hired Mr. Perez. Those at JWES believe it is a hidden gem among Chicago Public Schools and many do not know that it is a magnet school.
